The Story Behind the Coffee

Now in its third iteration, Los Magníficos was created to give smallholder producers in Huila the opportunity to access the specialty market—despite the modest size of their lots. Many contributors to this blend cultivate tiny plots and deliver only small volumes, often from a single harvest pass. By combining these exceptional but limited lots, this project ensures quality is preserved and rewarded, rather than lost in anonymous regional blends. Los Magníficos not only offers fair pricing and recognition to producers like Oscar Hoyos, whose first contribution totalled just 75 kilos of parchment, but also fosters a sense of community, dialogue, and long-term growth for farmers often overlooked by conventional supply chains.
