The Story Behind the Coffee:

This beautiful natural processed coffee was grown in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil on the Esperança farm.

The Cerrado region is the newest major coffee growing region in Brazil. Over the last few decades this region has stood out, producing renowned high quality coffee. This growing region offers ideal weather for high quality coffee cultivation thanks to its tropical savanna climate. Its distinct dry and wet seasons are ideal for coffee cultivation.

These conditions result in beans that are often noted for their sweetness, balanced acidity, and complex aromas.

About the Producer:

The Esperança farm boasts a rich history in coffee production dating back to the 90’s when it was owned by Jose Maria and his brother. The farm became a cornerstone of coffee cultivation in the region, establishing a lasting legacy. In 2021, under the stewardship of Deyvid, Jose Maria’s grandson, the farm underwent a transformative shift, propelling it to new heights of success. In that same year, Deyvid won his first Cup of Excellence Brazil award, working alongside the Barbosa family. In 2024, they did it again, becoming one of the few coffee growers to win the COE award more than once.
